I know Regular Pine Bedding isnt.
but someone on Yahoo! Answers said that Kiln Dried is ok.

Kiln Dried Pine Bedding?
Yes, kiln-dried pine shavings are just fine for guinea pigs. I use it with all of my cages. I have no respiratory issues with any of my pigs.
Kiln-dried just means the shavings have been heated to high temperatures, thus removing the oils that cause the problems.
Regular pine shavings still have the oils, which gives it that heavy pine smell. This is what causes respiratory issues with pigs. Cedar shavings also have high oil content %26amp; can cause severe respiratory ailments. Stay away from cedar or regular pine!

Reply:Kiln-dried pine is fine as a bedding for guinea pigs. It is what I am using at the moment and works fine for me. I buy by the bale and that works out to be alot cheaper.
2 of my girls are currently suffering from what the vet thinks is a mild respiratory type infection. As a result of this I have to house the girls on towels for a few days to see if the kiln-dried pine is making it worse and whether or not the towels improve the infection.

Droopy Norfolk Pine (Indoor)?
I have a norfolk pine that I have had for about 6 months. It was healthy until approx 3-4 weeks ago, around the time change from Daylight Savings, when it started to get really droopy. I have it near a window for natural sunlight, it is well watered and fertilized I have even tried spraying it with water to simulate humidity and moisture. It is still quite dark green and the tips are a lighter green but all of the branches are starting to droop and sag noticeably. I have had a previous norfolk pine and this did not happen in the late Fall/Winter.....any tips to resurrect my tree??? Thanks

I would suggest getting a florescent light, perhaps with a timer and add more light to its day.
Also you might reduce watering - don't add more unless the top inch or so of soil is dry. And the next time you water, water over the drain watering until water is flowing out from the pot, to reduce any built up salts. Reduce fertilizer.
Overwatering kills more plants than under. Also make sure you are using salt free water, that has had time to come to room temp, to avoid shocking the roots.

How do I get Pine-sol out of my clothing ?
A friend was helping me do laundry but she added Pine-sol to the wash right along with the regular detergent. Now all the clothes she helped me with have this oily feeling. What can be done ?

Why do i smell pine in the house and I have nothing with pine scents?
I am smelling a strong scent of pine yet I have nothing in my house with that scent nor do I clean with a pine smelling cleaner. I have two dogs that may have eaten something outside I didn't know about..is that possible? I cannot pin point where the smell is coming from. If anyone knows..please help.

The Original and the Lemon Scented. I use the Lemon scented for the wall...and the original on everything else. I love the way the orginal smells......its like heaven! Or when you add it to steamy hot water in a bucket..applying extra Pine sol to a fresh sponge. Does Pine sol does the same thing to you? Or maybe Comet? Bleach? Ammonia?

I love the way it smells too, it also works great. There are times when some one will come in the house and say how good the house smells and have I been cleaning all day. I hate the smell of bleach, it gives me a headache.
Reply:i can't breathe when i smell pine sol, comet, bleach or ammonia. i shiver at the thought of what the aroma can do to my brain cells. when i have to use bleach to clean the shower, i often have to wear a mask, open the windows as wide as i can and never goes in until the smell goes away.
my aunt loves that stuff too. she cleans her house with pine sol top to bottom. i know when she cleaned her house so i know when not to visit her.

We have an investigatory project which includes adding pine needle ash to bricks to make them more durable.Now, we are wondering if which has more adhesive property, green pine needles or brown ones? As a collector of pine sap (amber) in my humble opinion the fresh green needles contain more resin. I have also observed green needles have a subtle barbed finish which I believe are small (leafs) that open to give the needle more surface to process light.
Also the green, with a little fresh sap, tightly woven together make a wonderful smudge stick...For those into that sort of thing.
