I have 3 pine "trees" in my yard. The have been relatively the same size (about 3 1/2 feet) since I bought the place about 5 years ago. So here is what I'd like to do. I trimmed some of the bottom branches as they were way to close to the ground. Now I want to cut about 8 inches off the tops as I would like to train them to be either square or round. Can I do this without harming or killing these bushes/trees? I don't know the type it is, but it has very dense needles....thanks for any help.
Question about a small pine "tree"?
These guys are usually sensitive to the wrong pruning , i would ask a good tree garden centre nursery more details before touching them.
