I want to buy a Pine wood bed but most of the furniture in my room has a beach finnish will the go together or will it look really bad?
Will Pine wood go with Beach?
pine wood use to date beach but i think its over so no they dont go together anymore
Reply:Depends on the color of the woods. If they're similar, it'll be fine! If the colors are waayyy different, then it might not work out so well. But only you can be the judge of that! We don't know what the pieces look like! Good luck! =]
Reply:you can pickle pine and it will have a driftwood look to it
try minwax or a brand like it
Reply:I think the real questions is the color tone of the woods. I have been a cabinetmaker for 25 years. I have found in lighter tone woods, pines, maples, beech, and the lot, it's more about the color than the name. Most light woods blend together well, as do most dark woods.
Pine can be easily stained to a closer color fo the existing beech as well. There was a suggestion of using minwax stains, I agree with this, minwax is a very forgiving product for someone who is not well versed in wood finishing.
In addition to this woods generally fit well with other woods. Even if not the same color, it is a natural product, with all it's own variations even in the same piece, so I am not generally concerned too much with "exact" matches. What is most important, is do YOU like the way it looks.
