Pine cone craft ideas?

I have a lot of pine cones....do you have any craft ideas for kids ages 3-6

Pine cone craft ideas?
take some string and tie it around the pine cones, weaving it in ther nice and tight so the cones don't come loose, then spread some peanut butter on a plate and some sunflower seeds on another plate. have the kids roll the cones first in the peanut butter, then in the seeds. Take the cones and tie them to braches outside. Watch the birds come to eat the seeds off the pine cones and watch the squirrels try to find a way to drag the cones off! Good luck and have fun!!!!
Reply:If these pine cones are the large ones that sit up you can have the kids cut up a beaded necklace( like the mardi gra beads). Then have the kids glue them on with craft glue on the pieces that are on the outside, to look like Christmas balls on the tree. You can also use little pom poms for the balls. You can also buy "snow paint" at craft stores and paint the out side edges to simulate snow and before it dries sprinkle iridescent glitter on the paint. The invert the cone and make a small loop and glue an end to each side and wallah an instant Christmas decoration.
Reply:they can make then bird feeders by dipping them in honey then putting a string to them and putting them in bird seed and then hang them on trees. Or for more of a winter idea, make them into reindeer, glue eyes on them then stick some of that wirey colored fur stick things on top for reindeer Antlers or watever those things on top their heads are. Get the color red just to bring some color into the craft. Also, if u want it to be rudolf for more fun, get a red cotton ball and help the kids glue noses on! Have fun and u will thinks of lots of ideas. Try googling ideas for crafts with pinecones.

Reply:make pine cone turkeys out of them for thanksgiving. google it, there are hundreds of sites on pine cone turkeys.
Reply:For our cub scouts we took large pine cones, covered them in peanut butter and then rolled them in bird seed and hung them on the trees.

You can have them spray painted silver, or any other color you want, and then let the kids glue different colored beads on them, and give them to family members for Christmas, as an ornament You could add a bow.
Reply:This is messy but fun. Drizzle the pine cone with glue and sprinkle with confetti. Tip over and the loose confetti will fall away. You have a decorated pine cone that you can use for the holidays.
