Pine sap on car? How to remove?

What product(s) work good for removing pine sap off my car WITHOUT damaging the paint. I know that if you scrub too hard with just water it, it will dull the paint

So i guess u need something that dissolves it with a soft slow touch?

Pine sap on car? How to remove?
I ended upwith sap on the hood of my 1996 Dodge Neon. If you didn't know the paint just peels off of those if you look at it the wrong way. So when i saw the sap, I thought I was screwed. But I used WD-40 at the reccomendation of my highschool auto teacher.

It took the sap off pretty easily and didn't mess the paint up at all.
Reply:Bletch White. Pick it up at your local Wal-Mart or AutoZone.
Reply:no matter what products you use, you will want to wax right after.

Clay Bar works well

Tar and Bug remover

Use either Mother's brand or McGuiers
Reply:Be carefull! That sap could remove paint. I would try goo gone. It is known specificailly to remove gooy stuff. I havent tried it myself yet, so if you do, try it on a small spot first, but my car is my baby, and that is what I would use. Get it at most department stores; target, walmart, etc. Good luck amigo!
Reply:TR-3 Resin Glaze is the best product for removing road tar, tree sap and any other environmental damage. It also removes oxidation and leaves your car's paint renewed and protected.
