i want to put outdoor pine cones on my christmas tree how do i clean the pine cones???? im in florida

You could get some of that stuff that you spray on. Sorry i dont know what its called. But it leaves a clear coating on plants. Sometimes they use it when you go to a flower shop to get a bouquet .
By the way, that is a cool idea. Your home will really smell like christmas! I live in southeast Texas, and we are wall to wall pine trees.!
Reply:Probably the best way to clean your cones would be to use a vaccum cleaner. Any other way might just cause more problems since there will be a rosin/sap that occurs naturally. Be aware that when you use them inside that you might get some drips so make sure you have some type of covering at the base to protect floors.
Reply:When I was growing up we always just put them in a sink full of warm soapy water let them soak, then laid them out on a towel to dry.
