Which pine trees grow the tallest in Michigan with the fastest growth rate per year?

I would like to plant some in my backyard. I have some already that are about 60 feet tall but I'm not sure what type of pine tree they are.

probally white pine grows the fastest

Reply:While white pine grows a bit more quickly....they lose their lower branches as they grow. Austrian Pine is an excellent choice......the foliage is more dense, and deeper green; and they retain their lower branches. If you're trying to find a pine for screening purposes, it far and away the best choice. (Pinus nigra)
