Queston about pruning Hemlocks and Pine trees?

We have a row of Hemlocks and cut down 4 of them..behind those 4 is a huge Pine tree..this Pine tree didnt get alot of sun and on the side of the tree that was closest to the Hemlocks it is dead or at least the branches are..should we trim these branches off or leave them, i dont know what to do about it..thanks

If i were you i will leave it like that, because, if you get luck and get some rain, maybe the braches will grow back, nature has a way of turning things around, i have seen this happens before , but if you decided to trim down a little, i don't thing it will damage the tree. good luck, i love pine trees, some-times they protect the environment againts real high winds. be bless!!

Reply:You can trim them off or leave them, whatever you prefer. However, new branches will not grow where the dead branches are now. If you do decide to trim them off, wait until fall or winter when the sap isn't flowing heavily. If you trim the trees now you'll have a sappy mess on your hands and it won't be good for the trees, which have already been stressed by lack of sunlight.
