Did I see a pine siskin?

I'm doing a bird-watching homework for a teacher, and I live in southern Indiana.

I saw a bird with black stripes. Or at least it looked like it.

It looked to me like a pine siskin,

Is it possible that there is a pine siskin in southern Indiana

in late May?

Did I see a pine siskin?
Pine Siskins breed much further north up into Canada and Alaska. They are found in your area in the winter season. See more info below:

Reply:Pine siskins live in Indiana. She wouldn't have told us about the Pine siskin unless there were some in Indiana
